Qloud Games is an independent studio from Sydney, founded by a couple who quit their tech jobs to build their dream game: the cozy solarpunk MMO Loftia.

The founders
Qloud Games is run by Michael Su, a former software engineer and engineering manager at Canva, and Martina Qin, who worked at EY and Westpac before building a big following as a content creator. US-based Eric Mallon joined as third co-founder and CTO. The studio was founded in 2022 and is fully remote.
A Kickstarter record
In August 2023 Loftia raised around $1.27 million from nearly 17,000 backers on Kickstarter, the most successful game campaign ever from Australia. A $5 million seed round led by BITKRAFT Ventures and GFR Fund followed in August 2025, with Andreessen Horowitz also on board.
Loftia
Loftia is a cozy MMO where players garden, craft, explore and decorate their homes together. The team says it builds the game closely with its community, from stretch goals to new features. Early Access launches in November 2026 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
