Approaching the Approach
When they announced, the founders stated that they want to publish few, but particularly strong games. Instead of a large catalogue, the label relies on curated projects that fit its taste. The long reach of the YouTube channel helps to procure small Entwicklern Aufmerksamkeit.
The founders and the starting year 2022 are documented. The publisher does not officially mention a company headquarters or a founding date, these fields are therefore "unknown" or remain empty.
Review: Animal Well
The first title was Animal Well of Billy Basso and its Studio Shared Memory. The Metroids appeared on 9. May 2024 for PC and consoles. On Steam, the reviews are about 95 percent positive, critics praised above all the many secrets and the atmosphere.
For a new publisher, this was a dream start. The game has shown that the label not only lives from the awareness of its founders, but also has a good sense for special projects.
What is the role of the publisher
Like other indie publishers, Bigmode Marketing, distributors and console ports take over. Especially for a one-person studio, this is important so that the developer can concentrate completely on the game.
