When will version 1.0 be revealed?
According to Grinding Gear Games' official announcement on Steam, the "Path of Exile 2 1.0 Full Reveal" takes place during the ExileCon 2026 keynote in Auckland. The show starts on 6 November at 1 PM Pacific time, which is Friday, 7 November at 10 PM in Germany. A pre-show begins half an hour earlier at 12:30 PM PST.
The keynote is expected to last around two hours and will cover both Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2. It will be streamed live on the official Twitch channel and on YouTube. Some reports had previously mentioned 3 November, but the studio's official information names 6 November (US time).

Free-to-play from 11 December
The most important date is already set: on 11 December 2026, Path of Exile 2 launches as version 1.0 and becomes free to play. Since Early Access started on 6 December 2024, access had to be paid for; it currently costs 27.75 euros on Steam. As with the first game, it will be financed through cosmetic items in the future.

Registration and rewards
Until 11 December you can register on the official website pathofexile2.com. According to Grinding Gear Games, two sign-up milestones have already been reached, and everyone who registers receives two cosmetic effects. Important: buying Early Access does not grant these rewards automatically, so you need to register as well.
New supporter packs
In addition, the existing Early Access supporter packs will leave the store in a few weeks. They will be replaced by five new supporter packs. So if you still want one of the old packs with Early Access, you should not wait too long. You can read more about the game itself in our review of Path of Exile 2.
