Tape to Tape review: Arcade hockey meets roguelite

Tape to Tape is an arcade ice hockey game with a roguelite campaign from the small Canadian studio Excellent Rectangle. After launching in Early Access on May 3, 2023, it left Early Access with version 1.0 on October 23, 2026.

Gameplay

Hockey is fast and arcade-style. As Angus McShaggy, you lead a quirky team through a world of absurd opponents, choose a squad before each run and pick power-ups after matches.

Verdict

Tape to Tape is fun even for players who don’t usually care about hockey. Around 92 percent of Steam reviews are positive.
